I study how we form authentic connections with others. Society often devalues employees’ authenticity to ensure conformity and reduce conflict. My research shows this comes at a societal cost. I bring humanity into my work, helping people build authentic connections that increase inclusion, engagement, performance, and empathy—from police departments to schools.
